Michigan trip day 10

Vernon, Jake and Emerson put primer on the basement door and the railings of the steps and front porch and tomorrow the primer painting will be done and a top coat will be applied.

Samantha, the face painting artist makes Matthan into a tiger!

Joshua is waiting patiently for his turn.

Putting the door latch back on after the primer application.

We went to the 'brown' playground -- with the fun ziplines -- Nana even went on it once! Joshua said he's "digging down to the river"

River had a whole story about loading sand on this tractor

the story continues . . . .

. . . . and continues

Matthan had his own ideas and used a form to make a . . . .

seahorse!!

Matthan (up top) and River on one of the really cool well designed and built pieces of playground equipment.  River (just turned two years old) said:  "Nana, spin!"  and sure enough this big sphere spins!

River plays peek a boo in the tunnel.  Nana didn't quite get herself in the selfie!

The morning started out at 38 degrees (in August!?) a little preview of the cold winter coming!  But I took a walk in the afternoon and it turned out to be a warm, sunny day with a crystal clear blue sky!  It's really beautiful up here in the UP.
