Day 7 Arrived at Acadia National Park! We set up camp and went to a "Lobster Pound" ! Hey, we're in Maine!!
The Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. Just before you go over the bridge to Acadia. They show you the LIVE lobster -- the size you picked -- and then put it in one of these numbered mesh bags and send it outside to be boiled.
They boil the lobsters in sea water over a wood fire.
Tomorrow -- touring Acadia!
I wonder if anyone read and was bothered by a quote by John Adams (2nd U.S. president) that I posted on Day 5:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." This may or may not be true but if it is true, we're in trouble. (John Adams was an unpopular president who had a brilliant mind and extreme political independence. A major achievement of his presidency was that he avoided a war with France)
Good night:)
