Day 2 Taunton, Massachusetts
We arrived at Massasoit State Park this afternoon. The weather is beautiful -- blue skies and nice breeze. I hear back home we're getting more rain!
We had a little glitch with the wiring from the trailer to the truck. So Vernon, assisted by Jerry made a trip to Napa and got a new plug for the trailer cord. Seven wires had to be connected on the new plug to get all the lights and brakes on the trailer to work properly.
Also -- the motorized jack on the hitch stopped working so Vernon had figure out how to make the hand crank work.
Tomorrow we are visiting The Jenney Museum in Plymouth. Trip Advisor says of the tours they give:
A Walking Tour: Hear about the people, places, and events that shaped the beginning of our country as you walk through the historic district of Plymouth.
Forefathers Monument Tour - This hidden gem is the largest free standing solid granite monument in our country. The faith of the Pilgrims will become real to you as you learn what each of the five statues represents.
Business Not as Usual - Pilgrim Economics and Conversations with a Pilgrim: Our guides help visitors learn all aspects of the Pilgrim family including economics, education, government, and faith.
Vernon and Jerry work to connect all the wires in the new trailer plug that plugs into the truck.
