Day 10   Driving across Maine and into New Hampshire and Vermont

We said goodbye to Acadia National Park and drove to Vermont to visit with our friend Susan. Vernon is  helping her with a couple of projects.

Driving across Maine from the coast to New Hampshire, we went through some charming little towns filled with small businesses and homesteaders throughout the countryside.  I didn't get many pictures while we were driving though.

Even though the peak color is a week or two away, I enjoyed some brilliant color peaking out from mostly still green leaves.

Tomorrow I'll go on walks here in Derby, Vermont and see what color and beauty there is to see.
