Day 2 Henry Ford Museum

Today we spent the day at the Henry Ford Museum.  There were so many interesting exhibits the problem is which ones to highlight!

The Model T

Then there's Vernon as a 13 year old.  His dream car was the 1956 Chevy.  He was so excited when it came out and even remembers where he saw one (it was black and yellow) for the first time. near Shillington!

There were several limousines of U.S. Presidents.  This one is FDR's Lincoln Limousine:

We liked this one too:  The 1955 Corvette:

 And the 1959? Cadillac:

There was a fantastic train exhibit:

Here's the monster Allegeny 1601 with a 75 ft. long engine that pulled up to a mile of train cars filled with coal (and soldiers during World War ll).

This is the model of the Wright brothers' first flight in 1903:

Here's a part of the agriculture exhibit with local (New Holland) interest:

This machine was set up for harvesting, husking and removing the kernels from the cob!  It also harvested wheat, soybeans, barley and oats with a different attachment.

Malinda, here is a 1927 Blue Bird school bus!

Good night friends!  Looking forward to going back to the museum tomorrow to walk around the Greenfield Village exhibits!  Sweet dreams:)
