Hello Friends and Family,
Vernon and I are in sunny Florida.  We just said goodbye to friends who visited us for a couple of days before we leave to head WEST!  We took them to our favorite outdoor dockside restaurant, The Starfish Company Restaurant in the little fishing village of Cortez near Bradenton Beach. (See picture below -- can you spot 4 of the many sea birds who were around the dock?  There were Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Pelicans among others).

Yesterday, we we went to the fabulous ski show in Sarasota.

This morning we went to the 'Pennsylvania Breakfast' at a restaurant called "Der Dutchman" in Sarasota. Over 250 'mostly plain' Pennsylvanians enjoyed the breakfast buffet today.  We sang 'Further Along' before praying over our meal -- at least those of us -- not me  -- who knew the words. Esther sang nice harmony.

Now is the time to close up the house and stock the camper for our trip out west.
